Facebook is the most popular social network in the world and has as many members as there are American citizens! Any real marketer without a Facebook presence is missing out on a veritable treasure trove of MLM leads.

Those who know the secrets of Facebook - the power users of the network - are able to generate 20 to 30 leads every day, just by leveraging their presence on the network. With access to so many people, Facebook gives you the ability to exponentially grow your network. And Facebook gives you the opportunity to do this in a very cost effective manner.

Interested in using Facebook to generate revenues for your business? Generate leads using Facebook the same way the power users do. Here are the tips.

Correctly Use Facebook as it is Meant to Be Used

Like all social networks, Facebook is meant to do one thing: social networking. Do not view Facebook as only a marketing tool. People join Facebook to connect with all their friends, old and new, keep up with colleagues, form relationships and even to find dates. They don’t join in order to be someone’s marketing target. Use Facebook properly. Make friends. Form relationships. Be friendly. Share your own information. Even find dates but the most important thing is never become a marketing nag. This will cause people to block you out and keep them from ever becoming a prospect for your business. And it wastes your time and efforts.

Have Fun and Add Value

Use Facebook to enhance other people’s life. Share valuable information about yourself or a subject on which you are knowledgeable. Even pointing people to articles or news items you find interesting can help open that social door to creating a relationship. This helps you find common interests. Have fun and socialize, that’s why people join Facebook, to be social and have a good time. Don’t let marketing messages define you but you can send them. You should be enjoying Facebook, too. You will find that when you do something you enjoy, you will do it even better. The primary focus of Facebook is not business activity. You can liken it to hanging out with friends. Enjoying Facebook as a social outlet is the best way to translate the relationships into business

Connect with New Contacts

Always ask new connections or new subscribers if they are on Facebook. If they are, send them a friend request and jot them a personal note. A new fiend you have on twitter just might want to share more information with you and Facebook is the place to do that. This small gesture of “thinking-of-you-and-wanted-to-get-connected” goes a long way in turning that relationship into a warm lead.

Now that you have their connection, you have exposure to them. Every time you post an article, upload a video or make a business move, all your connections get reminded. You’re not annoying them. Your friends and connections will be appreciative that you are just staying active and sharing information. The more you share the more people learn and want to know more about you. It’s true that people only want to do business with someone they know and trust so build that trust with valuable information.

Facebook will surprise you with its value. As a simple social network, Facebook is just a hotbed of prospects, leads and other marketing activity.

Understanding and employing these key components is just the start. Watch the free Facebook Training video and start getting over 20 MLM leads per day using Facebook.

Why You Need a Battery Isolator

January 31, 2010

Cars fitted with bigger stereo needs an alternative power source as they can’t rely entirely on the single battery to which they are connected. If we have an habit of listening to music when the car ignition is off the consequence will directly lead to complete drain of the primary battery source which results in problem with starting engine, the battery won’t have sufficient energy to crank the engine. This problem can be encountered by using a secondary battery source coupled with the primary source, the secondary battery can’t be directly linked with the primary battery we need a battery isolator to establish the connection .While doing so question like HOW TO CONNECT A BATTERY ISOLATOR erupts in our mind it is very easy if all the instructions are followed in this manual.

Battery isolator is a device that instructs the alternator to charge the secondary battery and also protect the primary battery from being drained. Battery isolator can be of different type but the most efficient and cheapest of them is solenoid type isolator where the isolator connection is achieved when the engine is on, off when the engine is off .The instructions on how to connect a battery isolator follows.

Open the front hood and place the secondary battery in its corresponding tray using a 3/8 inch socket and ratchet. Make sure the battery is properly in position and should not be kept tilted. Using a driller mount the battery isolator then connect the terminal of battery isolator to the positive terminal of the battery using a battery cable. The wire connecting the battery and isolator are stripped and held in position using the 3/8 inch ratchet and socket.

Now the positive terminal of the secondary battery is connected to the other terminal of the isolator the wires are held in position using the socket and ratchet.

Take a lengthy wire connecting the ignition terminal of the isolator and run it down to the car interior near the steering column, test the ignition terminal with the 12 v test bulb, the light should turn on when the engine is on and should be in off state when the engine is off to ensure the connection is established.

After the connections is checked strip the one end of the lengthy wire using a wire stripper and clamp it with a ring type crimper and fix it to the battery isolator’s ignition terminal using the socket and ratchet. For grounding run a wire from the ground terminal of the isolator the the ground point on the frame and bolt the wires to ensure a tight connection.

The negative terminal of the secondary battery is connected to the ground point on the frame using a gauge wire and is bolted on the either end to ensure connections, now the secondary battery will start charging only when the engine is on.

It is easy to couple the secondary battery with the primary battery using this manual on HOW TO CONNECT A BATTERY ISOLATOR where it eliminates the need for supervision.

The end of each side of the wire is striped about half inch from the end. A terminal on to each end is crimped using a terminal crimper. Then the positive terminal on the second battery is connected to the terminal on the isolator using a 3/8 inch ratchet and socket.

A 18 gauge wire run from the ignition terminal on the battery isolator through a grommet in the firewall and the above one is made to run to the steering column on the interior. The wire is probed with the test light and the ignition is turned to the on position then off it. this is done to check the settings. An ignition lead is there when the light turns on when it is on and turns off when it is off. The 18 gauge wire is connected to the ignition wire using a blue Scotchlok connector.

The wire strippers are used to strip ? inch off the other end of the 18 gauge wire. A ring terminal is crimped on to the end of the wire using the wire crimpers. the wire is connected to the ignition terminal on the battery isolator using a 3/8 inch ratchet and socket.

A 18 gauge wire run from the ground terminal on the battery isolator to the ground source on the frame. a wire is bolted to the frame on the passenger side. A ring terminal is crimped on both sides of the wire using wire crimpers and it is bolted to the ground point and the battery isolator using a 3/8 inch ratchet and socket.

A 4 gauge wire run from the negative terminal on the second battery to the ground source on the frame. A half inch on each side is striped and a battery terminal is crimped using terminal crimpers. The cable is bolted using the same procedure.

New Rules Mean Business Electricity Customers Need Even More Help

January 31, 2010

From 18th January 2010 - following a two year investigation by Ofgem - two million businesses should have been benefitting from greater consumer protection in relation to their electricity and gas contracts. However the new rules have created nothing more than greater confusion and a spaghetti junction of red tape. For example, not only does each supplier have a different ‘interpretation’ of the new rules but they’ve been told they only have to apply them to new business energy contracts and not those already in existence. Whilst one of the Big 6 suppliers has indicated that it will apply the rules retrospectively on all existing contracts, this still leaves the vast majority of business energy customers at the mercy of their current terms and conditions.

Business energy suppliers each have different T&Cs that can run to over 10,000 words in length and only allow customers to serve notice in narrow renewal windows that quietly open and close with months left to run on the contract. Anyone missing the renewal window is automatically denied the right to switch to the cheapest electricity supplier for at least another year. Our research shows that this ‘rollover’ technique catches out over 80% of businesses and is commonly used by energy suppliers to lock customers into much higher rates than those available to new customers/switchers.

One person who knows about ‘getting rolled’ first hand is Patrick Crawshaw, owner of the Bakehouse Company which runs Victorian-style tearooms in Edinburgh city centre. He knew his contract was coming to an end last April and so in January tried to terminate but was told by his supplier that they require at least 90 days notice and he was two, yes two, days too late. They offered him marginally better rates than his initial renewal offer but he was still left embittered by the experience which left him forced to into paying £452 more for the year than had he been able to switch. Patrick claims he never received a renewal letter and felt the practice was really underhand. When he tried to explain this to his supplier, their reaction was that ‘Everyone else is doing it’. Having found out the hard way, Patrick was not about to let the same thing happen again this year and so he made a New Year’s Resolution to serve notice well in advance of his next contract end date in April.

A further area of confusion of the new rules is the size of business to which the new rules are restricted, should they wish to compare business electricity prices. Ofgem uses the description ‘microbusiness’ but then offers several definitions. These include: businesses employing fewer than ten people, with an annual turnover of less than 2 million euros, or energy use of less than 200,000 kWh of gas a year or 55,000 kWh of electricity a year. Again, some suppliers are rigidly applying these definitions whilst others will consider SMEs of all shapes and sizes as qualifying for the new rules.

We are getting very mixed responses from suppliers, many of whom are still trying to fathom out the new rules themselves. It would be so much simpler if, rather than just guidelines, these new rules were set out more clearly and more strictly imposed.

Business electricity prices currently range threefold from around 7p/kWh to 21p/kWh and 2p/kWh to 6p/kWh for business gas prices but anyone looking to stay on the lowest prices has to be prepared to switch regularly.

Hide Wiring in a Car Music System

January 31, 2010

There are a number of reasons for wanting to have the wiring of the stereo be hidden. The wiring concern is the last that comes to the mind of the user. It is obviously essential to make it concealed since it minimises the disturbance to the wires. It gives a very neat interior thus making it look like being done by a professional. It also prevents the noise disturbance that may be obtained if they are not properly hidden and insulated. It does not pick up the disturbance from other electronic devices. The hiding of the wiring also prevents the passengers to create contact with it. When the contacting is minimized the problem that might occur can also be reduced to a great extent. This article is regarding how to hide wiring in auto stereo installations.

The wiring can be concealed with the help of the following things. The tubing material is very important. A knife to cut the wires, few clamps to hold it, drilling machine and few bits are also needed. To stick the wires in a safer spot Velcro tapes and screws are required. The following steps can be done with little supervision and safety precautions must also be taken.

The first thing to be done is to conceal the main wire that is connected to the battery of the car using tubing for the cables. This can be done with the help of screws and clamps. It can be attached to the car’s frame. For the screws of the clamp, holes can be drilled using the drilling machine.

Then the zip ties are attached to the tubing and are placed at an interval of two to three feet throughout the entire cable’s length. In order to keep the wires connected, harnesses are used.

The wires of the stereo can be hidden by putting it under the plastic trim that is present along the door and under the carpet. This can be done by using a knife to pull it out. Some consultation may be done regarding the bundling of the wires so that the noise can be reduced or even avoided completely. The cable tubing can then be attached but care should be taken that screws are not fixed over the wire. The Velcro material can be used in the places where holes cannot be drilled as in the frame of the car.

The wires to the speakers at the rear, sub-woofers, amplifiers and the crossovers can be hidden behind the side of the car and panels. Instructions should be followed to remove it with no damage.

The connectors that are at the sub-woofers and the amplifiers may be seen generally. These can be inserted into the carpet or panels. For some cars there are panels that are built to reduce the wiring.

The above steps can be followed and this also improves the aesthetics of the car. In the case of built panels, they are available in the same colours as that of the interiors. Therefore follow how to hide wiring in auto stereo installations and beautify your car.

Easy Fitting For a Car CD Player

January 31, 2010

The CD player is capable of playing songs and music files from the compact disk. Almost all cars have stereo sets that support playing compact disks. All electronic goods are subjected to minor faults but some precautions can be made before replacing the old repaired CD player. It is advisable to check some of the things in the repaired CD player before eliminating it. Some of the things to be kept in mind are cable connection, loading belt of the player’s drawer and dirt accumulation in the various parts of the player. Therefore there are few directions on how to fix a car CD player to be done before buying another set.

A CD player usually consists of many cables, disk holder, speakers and display. While using any electronic, it must be used periodically and be cleaned regularly. Dirt is one of the major components causing damage to CD player. The following discussion will be useful indeed for evaluating the CD player.

When there are problems arising due to the sound produced by the CD player or the amount of volume that can be reached, the cable connections are to be checked thoroughly. Sometimes they may be loosely connected causing disturbance or be damaged due to a number of reasons like loading, etc. The receivers of the CD player may not be connected properly. This may also produce problems in volume and quality of the audio. Even dust accumulation on the receivers may mess up the condition of the player.

Another type of problem that may be encountered is with the opening of the CD player. The player might not open and close smoothly or entirely not open at all. In either case, one must make sure the loading belt of the player’s drawer is still attached. The drawer is the place where the compact disks are inserted. If the loading belts are out of the position or detached problems might arise in the loading of the disks. This can be checked by removing the CD player and dissembling it. Make sure the loading belt is in proper position to produce right audio.

Some problems might also occur due to display. The display may suddenly go blind. If this occurs immediately check if the compact disk is inserted in the correct direction and not in reverse side. If the CD is inserted improperly, the CD and the player may get damaged. The audio of the car might also be blemished.

If the CD player gives trouble in the skipping of songs, something might be wrong with the disk. Before using any compact disk in the player, steps must be taken to clean the disk with some disk cleaners that are available increasingly in the market.

The compact disks can be cleaned using a soft cloth with a cleaning solution available in market to prevent minor problems in the player.

If the above directions on how to fix a car CD player is followed before buying another player, it may be useful. In case the problem is minor, by following these instructions it can be solved.
